My Kindergarten Class - The Monkeys
My student teaching internship was completed in a full day kindergarten classroom. Our class was comprised of 11 boys and 10 girls. These students were extremely diverse, both academically and culturally. Of these 21 students, 11 were English Language Learners (ELL). These students received ELL services each week for a certain length of time, depending on their level of development (beginner, intermediate and advanced). The languages spoken in my classroom included Spanish, Korean, Hungarian, Portuguese, Urdu, Bangla, Lugwere, Pushto and Tigrinya. I also had special needs students in my classroom. These students received speech and/or Title I services.
